Michael Hall

Founder/Board Member
Chief Executive Officer

Michael Hall founded iSALUS Healthcare in 2000, and for the first 11 years he led all product design and development for the Company. Over those years, he has served in varying capacities as Chief Executive Officer, President and Chief Information Officer. He administered and provided oversight of the OfficeEMR™ product in physician practices around the country for the initial three years of production.

With more than 18 years of experience in the information technology, Hall has managed all aspects of software development. His experience spans multiple industries, including health care, insurance, airline, publishing and banking. He has also developed products of various sizes, from small 10-user systems to large applications supporting more than 15,000 users across 1,000 locations. During that time, he participated in the design and development of advanced web-based software systems,  and directed the technical deployment into large financial institutions.

Prior to his time at Alltel, Hall held roles as a lead engineer for American Trans Air (ATA) and data warehousing administrator for Conseco. In both positions, he played an integral role in the design and development of the corporate data system.
Hall received his bachelor's degree from Ball State University. He is an active volunteer with The Timmy Global Health Foundation, and has traveled several times overseas in support of the nonprofit’s work with disadvantaged youths. He also enjoys playing rugby, running marathons and lifting weights.

Jason McDonald

Chief Sales Officer

Jason McDonald oversees all sales and marketing initiatives at iSALUS Healthcare. McDonald realizes that most medical practices are small businesses, and he’s incredibly passionate about helping them optimize efficiency and effectiveness so they can run a better business, and subsequently deliver higher quality patient care. Consequently, he believes all iSALUS team members should become practice gurus, and he trains them accordingly.

McDonald draws upon 13 years of healthcare experience in various sub-sectors including: Electronic Health Records, Revenue Cycle Management, Durable Medical Equipment, Spirometry Equipment used for Asthma Testing, Surgical Devices, and Insurance Payer Management Systems. His vast experience with a diverse set of healthcare products has helped McDonald gain a substantive grasp on the inner-workings of the healthcare field as a whole.

Prior to his current role, McDonald served for eight years as National Director of Sales at Kareo, a start-up software company, growing the company from 300 to 20,000 healthcare providers, and growing revenues from less than $500K to several tens of millions annually. Prior to Kareo, he served four years as a United States Marine aboard Camp Pendleton, CA.

McDonald received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in organizational leadership from Chapman University in Southern California. One of McDonald’s true passions is not only building great companies, but doing so through the development of himself and others around him. McDonald believes in inspiring his employees to extremely high levels of performance to facilitate their growth which improves the service levels they deliver to customers and prospective customers - a true win/win scenario.

Kimberly Poland

Board Member
Vice President of Client Engagement

Kimberly Poland has more than 15 years of experience working with government commercial payers and electronic medical records.

Prior to iSALUS, Poland worked at WellPoint in mergers and acquisitions, managing the consolidation of 13 individual state plans into the Anthem/WellPoint consolidated business platform. Poland achieved this by working with each area within the state’s functional departments to ensure a successful implementation while minimizing the business disruptions. She was also critical in consolidating AdminaStar Federal, Empire Federal and United Government Services into National Government Services – the country’s largest fiscal intermediary for Medicare/Medicaid transaction services. Prior to joining iSALUS, she was Chief of Staff for WellPoint CEO Angela Braly for two years.

Poland earned her bachelor's degree at Thomas More College in Kentucky. She is actively involved with the Indianapolis and Johnson County Humane Societies and is also a member of The Northern Kentucky Board of Special Olympics.

Dr. Chuck Dietzen

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Chuck Dietzen, the co-founder of iSALUS Healthcare, draws upon more than 25 years of healthcare experience to understand the working relationship between physicians, hospitals, patients and payers. Using this knowledge, he guides the development of OfficeEMR, iSALUS Healthcare’s web-based Electronic Medical Record and Practice Management solution to ensure it meets industry demands.

Dr. Dietzen is the founder and president of Timmy Global Health (formerly the Timmy Foundation), an Indianapolis-based nonprofit that works to expand access to health care, empower student and medical volunteers to engage directly in global development and tackle global health challenges. In addition, Dr. Dietzen serves as medical program consultant for Bradford Woods, management consultant for the Franciscan St. Francis Healthcare System, medical director of Easter Seals Crossroads and medical director for CHAMP Camp for children with tracheostomies and respiratory support. He is a frequent contributor to numerous medical trades, and has presented all over the world about pediatric afflictions and access to health care.

iSalus Founder and CMO Dr. Chuck Dietzen

Dr. Dietzen earned his bachelor’s degree in agriculture from Purdue University and his doctor of medicine from Indiana University. He received his training as a pediatric physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist at the University of Alabama Birmingham. He currently serves as a member of the Timmy Global Health Foundation Board, the IF Foundation Board, the IU School of Medicine Alumni Board, the University of Indianapolis Occupational Therapy School Advisory Board and the New Hope Board.


V. Simon Abraham, M.D., FACS

Chairman of the Board

Dr. V. Simon Abraham serves as chairman of the board for iSALUS Healthcare and has held that position since 2010.

Dr. Abraham is currently the surgical director of the Children’s Heart Center at the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis. Additionally, he serves as partner and pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon for CorVasc MDs, one of the largest cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgical practices in the U.S. Previously, Dr. Abraham spent time as an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Kentucky’s College of Medicine, as well as an instructor in the Department of Surgery at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Dr. Abraham earned his bachelor of science from Haverford College in Pennsylvania and his doctor of medicine from the University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine.

iSalus Chairman Dr. V. Simon Abraham

He received his training at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. He is currently involved with a variety of professional organizations, including the Old Hands Society, John Alexander Society, Society of Thoracic Surgeons and American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Abraham is also a fellow at the American College of Surgeons.

Scott M. Bracale

Board Member

Scott Bracale joined the board of iSALUS Healthcare in 2011. He is currently president of Tween Brands Agency, part of Ascena Retail Group, which includes the Justice clothing stores for girls, with 920 locations and $1.2 billion in annual sales. Bracale governs all the enterprise marketing activities and is a member of the Corporate Executive Committee. He also has full profit and loss responsibility for Ecommerce ($100 million) and international franchises with stores in the Middle East, Russia, Australia and Central America.

Prior to joining Tween Brands, Bracale was the general manager of Bass Pro Shops’ Catalog and Ecommerce businesses and a member of the Executive Committee. During his tenure, Bracale was responsible for all profit and loss, Bass Pro Shops expanded into Australia and Japan, and sales quintupled. Prior to Bass Pro, Bracale was a senior manager in the retail consulting practice at Touché Ross and Company.

Bracale earned his bachelor’s degree in industrial management and a master’s degree in finance from Purdue University.
